Passenger Privacy Policy
How LUXi handles passenger information across the app, website, bookings and transportation services.
1. Scope and Effective Date
Effective Date: September 5, 2026. This Passenger Privacy Policy explains how LUXi handles personal information in connection with the LUXi passenger application, website, booking tools, customer support, communications, and transportation services. It should be read together with the Passenger Terms & Conditions.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on how you use LUXi, we may collect: account and contact information such as name, phone number and email address; authentication and user identifiers; pickup, destination, route, trip and booking information; precise or approximate device location when enabled or needed for app functionality; payment and transaction information; communications and customer-support content; device, app, network, usage, diagnostic and crash information; fraud, security and compliance information; and other information you choose to provide.
Payment-card credentials may be collected and processed directly by payment service providers. LUXi may receive transaction status, limited payment identifiers, receipts, or related payment information without receiving full card credentials.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to create and secure accounts; authenticate users; arrange and administer rides; identify pickup and destination locations; calculate or display trip information and pricing; process payments; communicate about rides and support; provide safety and fraud-prevention functions; troubleshoot and improve services; analyze performance; comply with legal obligations; enforce agreements; resolve disputes; and protect LUXi, riders, drivers, and the public.
4. Location Information
Location information is central to transportation functionality. Depending on permissions and app features, the passenger app may process precise or approximate location while you use relevant features. You can manage device permissions in your operating-system settings, but disabling location access may prevent or degrade location-dependent features. Pickup and destination information you enter may still be processed even when device location permission is disabled.
5. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information as reasonably necessary to drivers to facilitate a requested ride; to payment, communications, mapping, cloud, analytics, security, identity, support, and other service providers acting for operational purposes; to professional advisers; in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards; when required by law, legal process, insurance, safety, fraud prevention, or government request; or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell mobile messaging opt-in data or consent.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers that enable messaging may process such information only as needed to provide messaging services on our behalf.
6. Advertising, Analytics and App-Store Disclosures
The app may use analytics, diagnostics, attribution, or similar technologies depending on the version and configuration of the app. App-store privacy labels and Google Play Data Safety disclosures should be read together with this policy. Because app configurations and service providers can change, LUXi will update those disclosures when required. We do not state that a category of data is never collected if a current app feature or software component may collect it.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining transaction and ride records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, enforcing agreements, and satisfying tax, insurance, regulatory, legal, and safety obligations. Some records may be retained after account deletion where retention is required or permitted by law. Where Florida transportation-network-company recordkeeping requirements apply, ride and driver-related records are retained for at least the periods required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system, network, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and account credentials.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may manage certain app permissions through your device, opt out of eligible text messages as described in the Text Messaging Policy, and request account/data deletion through the Account & Data Deletion process. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to LUXi, you may have additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or other treatment of personal information. LUXi will honor applicable rights and may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
10. Children
The LUXi passenger app is not directed to children who are legally unable to create their own account or consent to the applicable data practices. A parent, guardian, or other authorized adult requesting transportation involving a minor is responsible for complying with applicable law and LUXi requirements.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, technology, services, or data practices. The updated version will identify its effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
12. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@goluxi.com or by calling (844) 844-LUXi.
