Driver Privacy Policy
How LUXi handles applicant and driver information, including location, trip, eligibility and operational data.
1. Scope and Effective Date
Effective Date: September 5, 2026. This Driver Privacy Policy describes how LUXi handles personal information relating to applicants and drivers using the LUXi driver application and platform. It should be read together with the Driver Terms & Conditions.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on the driver lifecycle and app configuration, we may collect identity and contact information; account credentials and identifiers; date of birth and other eligibility information; driver-license, vehicle, registration, insurance and other submitted documents; profile photograph; background-screening and driving-history eligibility information; precise or approximate location and trip activity; pickup, destination, route, time and distance information; earnings, payment and tax-related information; communications and support content; ratings, complaints, safety and incident information; device, network, usage, diagnostic and crash data; and fraud, security and compliance information.
3. Location and Background Operation
Driver functionality may require precise location while you are logged on or providing transportation and may use location in the background depending on app permissions and operating-system behavior. Location may be used to offer trips, connect riders and drivers, support navigation, determine trip progress, calculate operational information, provide safety/support functions, prevent fraud, investigate incidents, and maintain required records. Disabling required location permissions may prevent driver functionality.
4. Screening and Eligibility
Subject to applicable law and any required separate authorization, LUXi or authorized providers may process identity, criminal-history, sex-offender-registry, motor-vehicle, driving-history, and related eligibility information. If a consumer report is used for an employment-purpose or other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, any legally required standalone disclosure, authorization, pre-adverse-action, and adverse-action process will be handled separately as applicable.
5. How We Use Driver Information
We may use driver information to evaluate and maintain eligibility; create and secure accounts; connect drivers with ride opportunities; operate trips; calculate and administer payments; communicate with drivers and riders; support safety, insurance and claims; investigate complaints and incidents; prevent fraud; provide support; improve the platform; comply with legal and regulatory requirements; enforce agreements; and protect LUXi, riders, drivers, and the public.
6. Disclosures
We may disclose information to riders as reasonably necessary for a ride, including driver identity/profile information, vehicle information, license plate information where required, and relevant trip status/location; to screening, payment, communications, mapping, cloud, analytics, security, identity, support, insurance and claims providers; to professional advisers; and to government, law-enforcement, regulators, insurers, or other parties when required or reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, claims, fraud prevention, or protection of rights.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging service providers may process such information only as needed to provide messaging services on our behalf.
7. Records and Retention
We retain driver and trip information for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, payments, tax, insurance, safety, fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, and enforcement. Where Florida transportation-network-company requirements apply, LUXi maintains individual ride records and driver records for at least the periods required by applicable law, including applicable post-relationship retention periods. Some records therefore cannot be immediately deleted upon account closure.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No security system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Drivers are responsible for protecting devices, credentials, and access to their accounts.
9. Choices and Rights
You may manage device permissions, communication preferences, and eligible SMS opt-outs; request account/data deletion through the Account & Data Deletion process; and exercise additional privacy rights where applicable law grants them. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling a request, and information may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for permitted purposes.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as laws, services, or data practices change. The effective date will be shown above. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@goluxi.com or (844) 844-LUXi.
